The kitchen restoration at The Mark Twain House & Museum and the Friends of The Mark Twain House Holiday Tours, have been selected as the recipients of a 2008 HPA preservation Award.
Each year, during Preservation Week in May, the HPA presents the Hartford Preservation Alliance Award to individuals and organizations whose activities during the previous year have made a significant contribution to historic and architectural preservation in Hartford, Connecticut.
The mission of the Hartford Preservation Alliance (HPA) is to preserve and revitalize Hartford's unique architectural heritage and neighborhood character which maintains ties to our heritage and is a key element to the revitalization of our city.
The award presentations will take place Thursday, May 29 at 5:30 at The Old State House.
